This week, economic worries turn turned from increationinflation. On wensday center Wednesday, central banks in nations around the world act acted together to lower interest rates. The fear is that like a lack of credit and following the man falling demand could concer cause a deepworld wide resession, worldwide recession(经济衰退).
The International Monetary Found Fund has warned that the world is facing its most dangerous economic crisis since the 1930s.
To fight slowing economic growth, the United States Federal Reserve cut its federal found's funds rate to 1. 5%. That is the rate banks charge each other for overnight lowestloans. The European Center Central Bank also announced then an interest rate cut. So did center central banks in BritonBritain, Canada, Sweden and Switzerland, . Australia and China also cut interest rates.
The action marked the first time that the Federal Reserve has joined with other center central banks to cut interest rates.
Tuesday, the Faderal Fed said it will make short-term loans by purchasing what is called commercial paper. Such loans usually come from poors pools(集资), or collections(募捐)* , of investment money. The goal is to provide finiancial financial help to all companies that need short-term loans to operate.
